NWA Events

The Northwest Branch has a well-established program of annual events. The hallmark event is in March, the Day of Training. The event is a day-long professional development seminar with a diverse program and a variety of sponsors. The Northwest Branch also hosts monthly lunch meetings in January, February, April, June, August, November, and December. These meetings focus on a variety of engineering subjects and local matters to keep members current with important news and updates. Due to our proximity to the UA Student Chapter, the Northwest Branch also hosts events in conjunction with the student branch. A baseball social at Baum Stadium in May and the Pizza Social in September offer opportunities for networking between the two groups.

The 2018 schedule of meetings and events is available here.

Day of Training

The 9th Annual Day of Training in Fayetteville was the largest in the event's history. Thanks to a variety of sponsors, the Northwest Arkansas branch was able to host a broad and diverse program covering construction, drainage, ethics, insurance, transportation, water and wastewater. The Branch was also able to fund $4,500 in scholarship funds to outstanding UA Civil Engineering students. Registration for 2017 Day of Training is currently open, click here to sign up!
