The theme for the NWA Land Trust's 2018 Conservation Win-Win Workshop is Our Region, Our Future: Approaches for Smart Growth and Development. The workshop is June 28, 10:00-4:30 at the World Trade Center – Arkansas in Rogers.


Description: In the face of rapid growth and development, Northwest Arkansas has a unique opportunity to plan and create healthy communities for our future. This workshop is designed for regional decision-makers, including city planners, civil engineers, landscape architects, elected officials, developers, conservation professionals, and business and community leaders that have an interest in preserving quality of life as Northwest Arkansas grows. Participants will learn from regional professionals with practical examples and resources for planning and designing projects that support clean water, economic growth, wildlife habitat and long-term profitability.

Topics will include: designing for sense of place, planning for water and wildlife, economic benefits of open space preservation, sustainable design techniques, partnerships for landscape-scale conservation – and more.


4 PDH hours will be available through ASCE NWA for members who attend. Please register on the Land Trust's website here. Registration is $35 per attendee, and space is limited. For PDH credit from ASCE NWA, please email with attendance confirmation.
