ASCE NWA will conduct a monthly meeting at noon on Wednesday, May 2 in the private dining room at Whole Hog Cafe in Fayetteville. Branch business will be followed by a 45 minute presentation about the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code and fire prevention topics in Northwest Arkansas. A four-member panel discussion with over 75 years combined fire experience will cover requirements of fire access, fire flow, plan submission guidelines, and city ordinances.

The panel will be moderated by Duane Miller, Springdale Fire Marshal, who brings 26 years of fire prevention experience, 11 years of fire captain experience, and 5 years of fire marshal experience to the meeting.

Panelists will include:

Brian Sloat, Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Fayetteville (16 years fire experience, 5.5 in fire marshals' office)

Bill Rumsey, Rogers Fire Department Community Risk Reduction Captain (23 years fire experience, 11 in risk reduction)

Dustin Kindell, Fire Marshal for the City of Siloam Springs (13 years fire experience, 2 years as fire marshal)
